[req] Avedesk Aim desklet

I searched around but didn't find anything like this.. Is it possible to make a desklet that could basically "hijack" aim? It'd be awesome if a desklet could be created to mimic the buddy list, and open IM's and profiles. Maybe it could even spawn other desklets to be the actual IM boxes? Is this possible with Avescripter?

This might be a bit of a far-fetched request, but I figured I'd give it a try .

(edit): I just found another thread requesting an ave chat sorta thing, but perhaps that was before avescripter's release?

If I remember correctly, AIM uses the same scriptable interfaces that are employed by Windows Messenger. It should therefore be possible to make a contact list or a state icon with advanced scripting techniques.

The IM boxes are a different story and can't be redone in script, they only can be launched from there.

PS: Someone has already made an MSN widget in Konfabulator. Take that as a guideline.

I'd think it'd be easier to use something like Miranda to pull this off, no? (Trillian doesn't have the API to support this.)
