[req] Artwork exchange?

I know that many people would like more "Skins" for Avescripter, Sysstat or *insert module name* and that many just don't have teh skills or the artwork ability.

I've quickly mentioned this in one of my other posts but the message might have been lost since it was abit off topic.

I think what it would be a good idea, if there was a section dedicated to people that have artwork or coding knowledge to exchange and create desklets. I'm sure that there is people out there that can create lots of cool artwork for a desklet they would like to see done, but with no skill in doing it. And vice versa, scripters/codes that would like to do stuff but can't draw.

I think a place where graphics can be submitted for the purpose of creating the desklets would be a good idea. Then any scripter/coder could use those graphics and create the "Requested" desklets with those submitted graphics and not use it for other reasons unless you get the ok from the author.

If I'm the only one that thinks this is a good idea, then ignore me, But in case others think this is a good idea or a start to a good idea, please comment back. If there is a place that those this already and I'm just terrible at search, also let me know.

To avoid filling up the forums with submitted art work, I've created a section at http://avedesk.philc.ca where you can upload a zip file with artwork you want people to use. (To upload you need to register)

Great idea. Although I'm certainly not Kol my graphics skills far outway my scripting skills at this point..as if you couldn't tell from my cobbled configs!:lol

Maybe a temporary solution is to place a pinned thread under requests only for graphics? Just a thought.

You better prepare to code those *cough* desklets i previewed you cause that lazy dutch doesn't show much interest in doing it :P

I think this is a great idea and it brings a lot of potential to the AveDesk arena :)

I"m hoping I'm not the only one.... since I'm still updating / mantaining the scripting engine to add more features. Right after I tackle 1 last major internal bug.

But the more desklets I can do with scripter, the more it tests the engine and its limitations.
