as the topic says is there any way for itunes to play .ape, .flac and .mpc? im on windows btw. I just recently switched to itunes and love how it organizes my mp3s. One big drawback is that it cant play those files == and i hav quite a few of them ><;
any help would be appreciated!
yeah it doesnt do so without a plugin, I wonder if there are any plugins to make it play them because I have a few albums that are flac and ape and I dont want to go through the trouble of downloading and installing one of those crappy converting tools.

.ape (monkey's audio) is a lossless audio format 
.flac and .mpc is also the same thing
mpc is musepack, a lossy format.

i've searched alot of forums today trying to find some solution but i dont think it exists currently......so i converted the lossless to mp3s(while still keeping the original lossless). Maybe in the future versions, itunes will be able to play it ==
Google for QuickTime plugins - iTunes uses Quicktime for playback.
The only quicktime plugin I know of is for playing ogg files, though.
The ogg plugin doesn't work anymore. The track plays but no sound comes out.

Use dBPowerAmp to convert the files to WAV and delete the original. Now you've got the music in Lossless, and it's compatibile with iTunes/iPod.
Why not convert to Apple Lossless Audio Codec? iTunes and recent iPods support it...

I was explaining how to import it into iTunes, not what Lossless codecs save space once the WAVs are in.
Windows Ogg plugin is out.It seems to work perfectly.
Doesn't work for me. The files load and play, but I get no sound.
