[Req] Dashboard Dock

Would it be hard to made a clone of the Dashboard dock that displays icons on it to open widgets?

There's several already at alang's osx-e.com site, but their for konfabulator. are you talking about avedesk or samurize?

You you feel any better if I told you that I'm currently adding new features into the avescripter that will allow me to do the Dashboard Dock. Like more drag drop support, screen property, and a few more things

It would help alot, if you can tell me exactly what other other options besides listing the desklets and drag drop the desklet to the desktop that the dashboard dock can do.

could make a kind of .. sidebar mode too, so that desklets could be dropped into it and still show their info in a smaller form .. or is this the same as the dashboard dock ?

It would be nice if widgets could have multiple 'windows', for a lack of a better word. The RSS widget for example. You click on a link and a fake window, which is actually just a layer, pops up. The first time I saw it, I tried dragging it and the entire widget moved. :slant:

This is a AveDesk limitation. With the current structure of AveDesk, a widget can't have more than 1 window.

But a widget can create another widget using the com interface and it would be two indepentant widgets. I'm currently doing this example for the dock.
