can someone tell me how to change the startmenu like this?

use the classic start menu in the start menu settings

what about the transparency?

i'm guessing for the transparency their using Y'z Shadows of Winfx

or windowblinds, or any other multitude programs that allow transparency on the startbar

hm with the classic start menu it works so far for size and appearance.

the transperency is yz shadow, no doubt..

but whats with the frames and the color :slant:

hmmm right now is there a better tutorial to hack the startmenu like that....as the one posted already is kinda shoddy.....one has to read through the guys explainations numerous amounts of times to understand what he is trying to do.....

btw does anyone know how to make the classic startbar not hide entries that haven't been accessed recently....this problem is driving me insane....having to click on the stupid arrow every time i click on the startbar....

rt click on the start menu -> properties -> customize

scroll down the advanced start menu options and uncheck "use personalized menus"
