Well, I'm new here, but not new to the wonders of not only emulating OS X on a PC, but actually owning a couple of older Macs (a B&W G3 and a Powerbook G3 Wallstreet, both still in use). I thought I'd start my first post with a BRAG ![]()
Check out what I snagged for...
... wait for it...
65 measily dollars...

Talk about luck. I spent a few hours last night looking for a G5 case, and then checking prices on a couple that were similar (but only available in the UK). I also looked around for an iStyle case, which are pretty nice. The best I could find was a used G5 case for around $129.99 (after some coupon deal; I forget the site that was offering it). I was on my break from work today, relaxing with a cup of coffee and a newspaper, when I saw the ad:
APPLE G5 CASE, BRAND NEW, STILL IN SHIPPING BOX, $65 FIRM.
Snap. I called the guy, and he just happened to live about four miles from where I worked.
Talk about lucky.
I'm still deciding what to do with it. I might piece together a G5 or go the MicroATX route. I'm not quite sure yet.
Just thought I'd share this bit of good fortune with you. Keep your eyes open and the god of luck might just smile on you ![]()
Take care- B.
