Really love the MailCheck Docket!
One issue, however. I check my mail from 2 different locations (home & office), so I use the "leave a copy of messages on the server" option in Outlook Express. The messages are left on the server for 5 days. OE only recognizes the message as new the first time it sees it.
Mailcheck recognizes the mail as new every time it checks for new mail. The number of new messages that mailcheck displays is not accurate. Is there a way to prevent this?
This is the only docklet that absolutely does NOT work for me. Lord knows what I'm doing wrong...

Maybe, like me, you need your FULL email address as your login/pass and not just the username.
@zombie: are the seconds accounts settings true or fake? because if they're not true it won't work, if you only use an account the file should be:

Hmm, trying username as Duckie suggested isn't helping either.
It's not that the docklet freezes the dock...it works fine as an app launcher. It just doesnt check my mail. v.01 checked my mail, but wouldnt stop bouncing...
Superb piece of work Siwu. It works fine, except for one small problem. When my mail arrives, the number in the dock displays strangely. It places itself in one corner, instead of in the middle of the star. Check out this screenshot
I know I'm probably being really annoying with all these little problems, but I'm not sure how I'd go about fixing this? Any ideas?
@Simon: you have to play with the number_aff_x, number_aff_y and font values, for example, my settings are:
number_aff_x=90
number_aff_y=13
aff_font=Arial
aff_size=30
those settings place the numbers in the middle of the star, but be careful because if you got a 2 digit number of mails, the number will be drawn outside of the star

This one works fine for me, but in comparison to checking and even receiving mail in Outlook
This tiny 'checker' happens to stutter other applications while they're sending/receiving data
and believe me 
it just can't be the machine or the connection i'm running over here...

Well, for the issue of the number not centered I plan a 0.4.5 release to fix this
for DZ and Ender, it's maybe a server-side problem because I didn't modified the "mail checking engine"

this mailcheck.ini is for version 0.3
as I improve the docklet more and more options comes in this ini file
modify the one supplied with the docklet
because if it doesn't find some options, this is maybe why it's not working
great docklet!
one suggestion:
I have noticed that the docklet only picks up mail that is recieved when it is on the dock
when I have mail on my server, and load the docklet, it doesnt show up
could you fix this? thanks

Would it be ok to ask you to make a dialog box like in the trash can docklet, where you can choose the empty and full images. So you can have the regular icon with a RED STAR choices of your own, instead of doing so manualy (which isnt a big deal), just user friendly and nicer.
