Thats beautiful, it really is. Very cool. (Y)

Could you do the people with dialup (me) a favor and compress your pngs a little better. Was a 2.5MB picture really necessary? It took me almost 6 minutes to view that image. Setting the compression level to 9 or 10 would be helpful,or using a jpg. Thanks.

PS. I hope you dont always run as root, its not a good idea. :staffs here:

Sorry to sound condescending, but some people were doing that around here.

#30692

hmm i cant seem to get the theme to theme my widgets ... i installed the theme using the theme control panel.. i got the window borders to show up but gtk2.0 theme doesnt work..

i downloaded the full theme.

#30693

mine doesn't work either... i'll report back with s-shots tomorrow.

I can't get the Nautilus toolbar to work and i would like to know how to get those lovely menu shadows :)

#30694

excellent!

Now what was that about Gnome not being beautiful, Contra? ;)

#30709

I was the one talking about how much more beautiful GNOME was than Aqua. Oh well. Ive found WindowMaker anyway, and im happy.

I miss the "finder" bar of GNOME though, the "dockapps" are cool, but some of them are big.

#30717

What shadow patch?

#30788

Hi all!

Download the dropshadow GTK-2.1 source and patch

1. Extract files.

2. copy the gtk2-2.2.1-menu-drop-shadow-hacky-hack.patch to: extracted dir/gtk/

3. apply the patch:

# patch gtkmenu.c gtk2-2.2.1-menu-drop-shadow-hacky-hack.patch

4. if patch succesfull then

# ./configure --prefix=/usr

# make

# make install

5. restart Gnome or X

Enjoy!

GTK2 stock icons not show?

1. goto the themes folder ($HOME/.themes or /usr/share/themes)

2. goto theme folder/gtk-2.0/

3. edit the iconrc first line (current: /root/.themes/SmootS/icons/stock) insert your theme path.

Hi!

manualy install neither dont work???

#30827

configure: error: Library requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.1.4 atk >= 1.0.1 pango >=
1.0.1) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

i get to step 4... then when i try to configure i get that...

I installed the pkg set of stuff from freedesktop and still no luck.

can anyone help?

#30849

Hi

This is standart configure error.

Search these .pc-s your computer or the net, and copy the /usr/lib/pkgconfig/ dir.

Or download here and copy /usr/share/pkgconfig/: pcs.tar.gz

Recompile again!

If you not work edit these .pc-s.

Bye!
