I've got notebook with TFT monitor. Most of GRAPHICALLY RENDERED texts look very strange. The texts on graphics made by Adobe look smeared, they'd better be not anti-aliase at all. Apple site, so sweet seen from my Samsung CRT, looks like a job of drunk students.
WindowsXP' Cooltype labels however look perfect here. It's even better than on CRT view.
Is this normal? Or maybe I can do something with my TFT? P.S. TFT is on its native resolution.
Erm, have you enabled ClearType technology at your laptop's Windows XP?

depending on the tft screen, pixel can be made up in different way (RGB, GRB, etc.). You can try the microsoft website to configure cleartype. Acrobat has its own configuration for rendering text, look in the preferences

btw who is the manufacturor of your notebook? or specifically your LDC TFT monitor (sometimes companies use outside sources)? this will help in trying to search for a solution, or internet FAQs, etc on your particular monitor. also, have you consulted the owners' manual?

With exception of xp os menus, desktop icon fonts, etc
i have blurry fonts with avedesk, konfab, kapsule labels
I am using Acer Aspire 3002 Lci
I have cleartype on and tuned.
Previously on my CRT monitor incidently a Samsung, everything seems to be ok

U'r right bro. Cooltype aka ClearType works fine, as I said, but the IMAGES...

I have a RoverBook Voyager, it is russian, can't say anything more definetely now. But the TFT is most probably from some side manufacturer. And the manual sais nothing of problems. You know, they always write how good their product is, but nothing about the problems issued.
well when i tried to look for your specific computer, i got mainly non-english pages... which were of no use to me ^^;.
however i did find some TFT related topics on other sites that you might be interested in. these deal mainly with a separate monitor, not a notebook screen, and are a different brand, but i think you might be able to glean some information anyway.
