(help) Where to put new downloaded wallpaper

A friend gave me her "old" 15" POWERBOOK with tiger os as she got herself a new one

So been playing with it and it's sweet. Of course, I have to get used to a MAC. Found Shapeshifter and was wondering where I put the wallpaper and icons aND OTHER ASSORTED "stuff" that I DOWNLOAD?

Ideally, just open up your user folder (with the "home" icon) and you'll have some nicely organized folders there to put stuff in.

So maybe icons could go in an "icons" sub-folder in the documents of pictures folder.

Wallpapers could go in "Local Disk/Library/Desktop Pictures/" with all the defaults.

Or do what I do and make a folder in the Local Disk called "Downloads" and use that as a temporary file dump.

So... for all practical intents and purposes, I guess you can put files where ever you like :)

Work a system that you can live with - that's all that really matters.

So it's just as simple as that..no messing with triing to find the wallpaper folder, etc..okie dokie

Open your Desktop & scrensaver properties to change wallpaper.

In the folders list on the left you can select a custom folder.

From memroy, I believe OSX will actually remember this folder so it's in the list when you want to chnage wallpaper again.
