[help] All overlays not available

First, let me post a ss of what's going on.

SysStats_no_overlays.jpg

According to the overlays html document, there should be 8 overlays; I have 3. (See pic.) The same goes of Meters as well. I have 3 available when there should be 13. The same goes for Controllers. Again, I have 3 when there should be 9. I've reinstalled a few times, each time I only have 3 overlays, meters, and controllers.

Version of SysStats is v2.5.8, and version of AveDesk is 1.3.

Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I redownloaded AveDesk and SysStats at work and installed both. Everything worked just fine; all overlays, meters, and controllers were available. I then copied that AveDesk folder to a USB drive and took it home. It should work, right? Well, it didn't. I deleted all instances of AveDesk/SysStats, cleaned the registry, copied the folder over to my local hard drive and ran AD. Still missing the above mentioned items. I've reinstalled several times, all with the same outcome. I've even tried SysStats with OD+ and still got the same outcome.

This is a brand new install of XP, so I may be missing some file. Any help would be appreciated.

Always 3 of each, no matter what. When I load an existing config I get a squished BBQ with some of the text for the label. Doesn't matter what config, I've tried them all.

I'll try switching to Classic just to see; didn't think of that. I'll also search for that entry in the registry.

As for the user, I'm an admin on both my work laptop and at home. I'll post back here with the results. Thanks judge.

One thing I just thought of. When I reinstalled XP it was from an image I took at the beginning of this year. Before I imaged this machine the previous version of AD and SysStats was running just fine. Both installs come from the same image, go figure...

Same problem with me Judge. I posted my problem here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=29514

OK, changing to Classic didn't change anything in the view.

When I searched through regedit, this is what I got.

In HKEY_Classes_Root I see:

COMOverlays.AnimatorOverlay

COMOverlays.AnimatorOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.GaugeOverlay

COMOVerlays.GaugeOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.ImageOverlay

COMOVerlays.ImageOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.MappedOverlay

COMOVerlays.MappedOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.MeterOverlay

COMOVerlays.MeterOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.ScollerOverlay

COMOVerlays.ScollerOverlay.1

COMOVerlays.TextOverlay

I also find an ImageOverlay Class under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{BD09D3A7-6C8D-4E2F-B8D2-2C55F7499B6E}

COMOVerlays.TextOverlay.1

That's alright Judge. I'll play around and maybe figure something out. Maybe a clean sweep of my system and fresh install will work. Thanks for your brain cells.
