Aqua-Soft ForumsI downloaded Avedesk 1.3 and was wondering how to add a folder & drive shortcut? I tried using the drive & folder desklets that were included in 1.1 but they don't work with 1.3. Can someone update these or something??

If you have downloaded AveDesk 1.3, just add a PidlShortcut, and configure it to point to whatever drive/folder you want to use. Alternatively, try reading the release thread, 'cause at least 3 people have already asked this question.

I did add a PidlShortcut and drag the folder in the shortcut tab but i still have problems, 1 there a question mark that appears at the back of the icon, next i have to double click the icon to open the folder (i only used to have to click once in previous versions) Also the format is not displaying correctly, i have way more than 1.36gb files in that folder. I tried to edit the label format but they don't display the right info. Just wish someone would update the desklets from 1.1 as it would make things so much easier.
a) can you post a screenshot from the images tab of the desklet's property window?
add %r to also count the files in sub-folders. If the folder has lots of (big) files, the desklet will count some file, update the sublabel with a temporary value every 10 seconds [iirc].
Here the image, I think i solved the rest of the problem except the question mark that appears behind the icon.
PidlShortcut's are better then the old drive and folder desklets.
Ive just added three new PidShortsuts and they have those question marks behind them too. But only when clicked on. Left or right click. Weird.
Is that how it is for you mnm?
Well Ive gotten rid of the question mark. But it was by creating new PidShortcuts. Dont know what was up with the other ones.
The only difference I can think of was that when I created the other ones, I just added a PidShortsut. This time I created "My Computer" ones from the PidShortcut tree rather than the root.
Now when I create from the root, nothing shows up on the desktop but shows up in the AveDesk control panel with a black box instead of the icon. Im curious about that. Related to the "?" issue Im sure.
By the way, whats a Pid? 
The question mark behind the widget is caused by the selection box effect not pointed to the right location where the image is.
Go in the Configure... and Set Image to your <AveDesk directory>/Effects/SelectionBox/bg.png
And while I'm pretty sure this isn't the right meaning in this case, but PID is also short for the Process IDentifier in some operating system kernels.
