Aqua-Soft Forumswhen i change some settings of the bar, like the position, some docklets etc. and log of from windows or restart my computer the rk launcher is set back to the default settings.
what can i do?
RK Launcher doesn't save my settings
The only thing i can suggest would be opening up the settings dialogue, go to the Behavior tab and make sure the following have a check mark:
[ ]Save changes on exit
[ ]Save items on exit
[ ]Save items on change
i also have checked these options.
i found the bug!
if i quit rk launcher before i shut sown or log off all settings are saved.
that is properly caused by my windows settings. i remember that i have changed some shutdown timeouts and other settings with a tweak tool some time ago.
i think windows kills rk launcher hard instead of sending it the exit-signal so that rk laucher can save it's settings. perhabs can the developper implement that it saves its settings immediatly after a change.
however it works for me. i change it as i like it and quit it. and log off.
actually that's what "Save items on change" does...
I have no ideea why your settings didn't get changed...
whenever U close the Settings dialog the settings are saved if U have that box checked...

I have found a temporary solution for the font/font color/style aspect of the changes not being saved. Edit the RKLauncher.conf file and edit it there. Save the file and it should fix any other future changes within the RK Launcher program options.
Mileage may vary.

Are u guys sure that RKLauncher has the permission to edit the RKLauncher.conf and the itemlist.conf ?
