iTunes keeps opening, and opening.

I know some ppl had the same problem, and after some search i´ve not found one solution.

Even with no AveTunes, VolumeLogic, or any other app that could be using iTunes (except for a simple shortcut for iTunes.exe on ObjectDock), my iTunes keeps opening by itself seconds after i close it. Sometimes its even opens again without MultiPlugin.

Anyone knows why? And someway to avoid this?

My PC:

- NVidia A7N8X-Deluxe

- GeForce Ti4200 128mb

- Athlon XP 2.4

- 1 gig RAM 333.

it happens to me as well. i stopped using multiplugin and it hasnt happened since. though sometimes my avetunes widget doesnt go away when i close itunes, which will make it open back up if i click on it.

This happens to me too.

I use multiplugin and avetunes. Sometimes after it restarts multiplugin is unloaded.

I have noticed that sometimes if my iPod is disconnected then it closes fine. So may this has something to do with it (even though I have unchecked the 'Open iTunes when this iPod is attached' option).

But, thats happening even without any Systats or Avetunes, whats made me thought that could be because of MultiPlugin.

the thing i found helps most of the time is to pause/stop playback before i quit itunes, most of the time it doesn't reopen.

I can´t explaing why... but somehow, removing the shortcut to iTunes from the ObjectDock helped a lot... three days without iTunes opening alone (and i´m using AveTunes).

could you elaborate on how you did it?

In Multi-Plugin, I use the iTunes COM events to detect when the COM interface should be released, but there are some problems with this method.

has this bug been sorted out in avetunes yet?....it keeps happening to me now (with multiplugin alone its fine) but with avetunes and or reflectionart itunes keeps reopening...i hate to be resurrecting a 2 year old thread but i searched itunes reopen and this is the thread i got
