8 iPod video questions

I am about to buy a 60GB iPod 5G (with video) :D ! I'm so excited, I get a student education discount, but I still have a few concerns :slant: and questions for owners of this great product;

1- Can you put photos into folders/playlists (using iTunes or other software), or when you export photos to the iPod are they all scrambled together?

2- Can videos be managed into folders/playlists?

3- I like the idea of managing my photos into folders so I can find the ones I want fast, will overloading the pod with photos cause problems?

4- What headphones do you recommend? (i'm looking for mid size headphone- not earbuds and not huge headphones, ones that pack reasonable punch without looking rediculous)

5- Does the camera connector work with Canon Ixus 500 or Canon 350D? (I dont expect you to know this...but someone might know :D)

6- Can videos be put onto a tv screen? how good is the quality? Will a standard AV cable work, or do i need to purchase the one from apple?

7- Whats better for the car, fm transmitter or cassette plugin?

8- Anything else I should know

Also I wish ot share a cool site with those who have recently purchased an iPod and wish to get a good quality case

or iPod wallet (which I will be getting)

(No i dont work for this company, but you can't reach it through the apple site and thought it was worth noting)

Okay, for headsphones I recommend any that have the head holder thing, positioned at the back, Such as these.

On 7, cassette adapter is way better than FM

On 7, cassette adapter is way better than FM

And cheaper as well...which is good. not too fidly I hope....but then again the FM transmitter is apparently more fiddly than it looks.

Thankyou. I think I will go with Casette...I still urgently want to know about photos and how they are arranged

Yeah, I have the cassette too, it's perfect for me. I'm getting integrated though, because our new car doesn't have a tape player.

I've tried headphones like those, the quality's fine in my opinion, just make sure when you buy one like that, that the wire is long enough. On those types of headphones, the wire is always very short.

wow cool. thanx for the advice...I was headed for the FM transmitter thing...it does look cooler...but I've heard theres problems with interference and static.

I have a tape player so i'll definately be doing that. Any recommendations on specific headphone brands/models?

and still question 1 & 2 intrigue me...how are photos and videos managed?

ilounge.com

solution to just about all your problems.

might i add, that wallet is an f-ing badass idea. just, you won't be able to put it in the back pockets.

if you feel antsy, get that ipod 60. but i'm waiting for it to reach 100gigs or at least 80. Let's just say i have a lot of movies/episodes on my computer and is totally to be over 60gigs.. the music alone is reaching past 25gigs.

;)

to answer some of your other questions, i'd go for sony brand headphones. granted, most of the good ones by them are earphones, but they pack alot for a reasonable price (sub 50). it really all depends on your budget.

and for questions 1 and 2, it can be by playlist and everything. ask someone who has an ipod, photo or black and white. the demos on the apple.com website are good representation of everything. if you don't have friends that have ipods (extremely rare nowadays), its basically based on the title of your video files. and your playlists do the same thing.

lol yeah...I agree about the 100Gb iPod...but I am antsy, I told myself after the iPod photo was released i'd wait until iPod with video came...It came and now I'm getting it. ;)

The amount of storage doesn't bother me huge amounts- I just dont download enough.:P

iPod wallet, I still have faith in it, an iPod in the pocket is gonna be bulky either way, and I need a good way to protect the thingy anyway...If I want a non bulky wallet i'll just take the pod out.

thanx for the site...i'll check it out...still keeping posting aquasofters ;)
