[Poll] Vista and Aquasoft

I'm not sure if its my right to do this, but some one had to start off this debate...

What should be done with vista in aquasoft?;

(A) Aquasoft has always been for aqua... All vista threads should be automatically destroyed...vista lovers, should go elsewhere.

( Aquasoft should have a sub-forum for all vista related stuff

(D)Vista is the new aqua, accept it, and let vista pop up in all skin releases, customising sections etc...

(E) Other...please specify.

My personal opinion is this;

I chose C because

1- Many aquasoft members who have long been part of the community are now interested in Vista, and want to share with other aquasofters (friends) who are interested also vista

2- Aqua is alike vista in many respects

3- you're always gonna have some **** posting stuff about vista

4- People who like both aqua and vista dont want to sign up to two different sites

5- If a sub-forum was created it would be unsorted (eg- categorised into skin releases, customising etc...)

... and I meant absolute respect. I believe Aqua caused the boom in PC skinning (...okay, that and Winamp 2).

I'm not here exclusively for Aqua / Aero / Vista, or anything else.

I'm here because of the community and the quality of the releases here.

I'm here to proudly support apps like AveDesk and Multi-Plugin (among others too numerous to list).

I don't release Aqua/Aero-styled work here to try and convert people to a particular style.

I release stuff here because the community here is full of people that I know and others that I admire.

@Timan: Was the major issue with Aero-Soft the lack of funds for a vB license? Would it be feasible to start from scratch with one of the excellent free forum options available?

I think a subforum sounds messy, but I'm no expert. I voted C because it seems to me, like others have said, that what this community is really built around, less than AQUA, is uncommonly good graphical talent and eye for design. Vista itself leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion, but as dobee says, it'll be great for skinning, and some of its design concepts are definitely worth emulating. In conclusion, it seems like we need to make sure we don't make ourselves extinct as a community by ignoring the future of skinning, which, at the moment, appears to be Vista (although let's remind ourselves that if MS can come up with something good, Apple will probably come up with something so surpassingly better for their next release that no one will care about "'Vasta' or whatever it is" for more than a month or so. =D )

You people seem to forget while this is AQUA Soft we emulate OSX, not just Aqua. That is why i don't see the reason for putting Vista into the mix.

We all know Tiger is way ahead of XP in GUI terms and it's only logical to think Leopard will kick VIsta square in the nuts.

What I'll do is, right under Aqua Discussion, there will be a forum titled Aero Discussion then if someone wants to release something, they can just post them in the regular visual style, icons, blah blah blah forums. But if they want to discus the look and feel of the aero ui they would post it there.
