Yeah Ive had that link in my faves for some time now, it dosetn describe what you have to do, only shows it off.

Really the only thing you need to do is replace the I/O plate for the motherboard, and making new motherboard mounts, and use a Micro-ATX motherboard.
Everything else is can be pretty much left alone... even the PSU is standard ATX.
The hardocp one went overkill they actually removed stuff off the mobo and redid some of the compasitors... thats crazy...

One other thing to keep in mind. You can only do this with the Power Macs up to the first QuickSilver models. The model that came after have the motherboard mirrored, meaning the PCI/AGP slots are now on the top and the header plate was moved to the bottom. This makes putting in a PC motherboard inside completely out of the question. Just look at any picture of the inside of the new models and you will see what I mean. And no its not a reversed nagative they really did turn everything around in the case. Maybe to keep would-be hacker frm doing what you want to do. 
Stop me if im wrong - i have a theory about getting a PC motherboard into the modern Mirrored Drive Door G4 case.
it would be messy and probly not very upgradable but there are lots of Mini-ITX motherboards http://www.mini-itx.com/ about now and these (Especialy if you find one with everything onboard, graphic, sound Lan etc) it may fit in the case as its so small it wouldnt go near the upside-down PCI card part of the case - this would mean minimal alterations to the case and plenty of space inside for other stuff
obviously this would be diffiult as it would be quite hard to find a MDD G4 case anyway
