Making IE/FF compatable web pages.

I've heard some stuff about CSSVista...didn't feel like downloading it.

Alright, not to derail this thread, but I have a question:

I've got a website on a deadline, and I'm equally capable of doing the layout in CSS vs. doing it with tables.

Purely for time's sake, I'm considering doing tables, and then switching to CSS when I have the time. I've never really done anything like it before (switching from one layout-coding type to another).

Will it be technically difficult, as long as I do all the other stuff with CSS too? So, basically, CSS for styling, padding, etc--everything but floating and margins. Would the transition be easy? I may even have

s with ids and stuff inside the s, so I could just remove the s and other table-related code once it's time.

I don't see any problem with it, as long as I have the intention to switch to CSS. Just wanted to hear your opinions.

P.S: I'm not a no0b...I know what I'm doing, so don't talk down to me :P.
