[help] sata connectors on a psu

Hi there i recently found out that my q-tec 400watt power supply gives crappy ampage to graphics cards during gameplay. The power pack i got didn't have much info on it about sata connectors so i didn't worry about it. In my mind a single sata connector can power two hard-drives as one connection branches from another. So by having two sata connectors one can power 4 components?

Please tell me if ive got this wrong. I don't want to buy another crappy power supply again.

Also can someone show me what a single sata connector for a psu looks like (one strand)

I wouldnt see why you wouldn't be able to connect four drives to one power supply, but I would be careful if your planning on connecting a video card that requires extra power by means of a molex connector

If your asking what power supply to buy you should look at the cheap but impressive performance wise ULTRAX power supplies, I have one in my gaming rig right now and run a 9800XT256MB and 3 HDS, all sata

that's a molex connector, it's use for optical drives, hard drives, video card

woo thanks man for clearing that up for me....i would have bought a psu with 4 sata outputs that i wouldn't even use lol
