Great Work Jeff......!!! ;)

Is there a way to change the background to de old one without changeing the background ini file by hand?

#2802

heh well that one you all have wasn't actually *supposed* to be released... ummmm but yea it's not finished ;) Adding in an easy way to swap around backgrounds.

ALSO!! You may notice the autohide-reshow area is too big, again, because it is unfinished ;x O well, i'll have a new release within the next day or two probably with this all taken care of

Great work. Auto-hide would definitely be much appreciated. Also, anti-aliasing on the text seems to have been lost. It also seems to run slower now, with the new background(s). Takes quite a bit of RAM too (around 25 megs) :) Of course, I know it's a pre-release version :)

#2808

Excellent stuff.

BTW.

Is there any way to add a system command to activate the start button? I'm currently using desktopX just to add a start button to my desktop. A nice system command would allow me to clean up my desktop just a little more and lose one more running program in the process. Is there even such a command, 'cos I've never come across it.

Smeggy

I was curious, what is the actual release number?? Everyone keeps saying .52, but the info says .55 alpha. I was just curious about that.

#2812

The new version should be 0.55 alpha ;)...this was what someone who downloaded 0.52 before it was released said ^_^

#2816

What is this? Now the download link on the official site says objectdock055.exe

Does your own people leak your own product?

#2818

Oh, btw... I don't care for themeing one bit, and I bet that a graphical bitmap is slower to redraw than one filled with a flat rectangle... so any chance to turn off background graphics and use a simple plain colored variant, with perhaps two options: "Background Color" (in the #FFFFFF format, for example) and "Alpha Transparency"?

#2820

i've cut most of the png's file size in half.

i don't care much for the iApp look. and have gone back the the original dock look.

you can cut down the size yourself by editing the Png

and i don't think the graphical re-draw is that much slower..

it has been drawing BMP's since the first beta.

it's just now, you can edit them.

to add alpha transparency, you have to edit the Pngs, and add the transparency to them.

i believe OSX uses about 75% transparent.

btw.

ObjectDock 0.5.0.125 (objectdock)

ObjectDock 0.5.0.126 (objectdock050)

ObjectDock 0.5.0.127 (objectdock051)

ObjectDock 0.5.5.128 (objectdock052)

ObjectDock 0.5.5.128 (objectdock055)

can all still be downloaded.

Want your dock more transparent????

For now... do it yourself in photoshop... in layer options you can choose to make the dock background as transparet as you want....

Want the old backgroun??

change it your self... just find the background you want and rename it to by the way, (background) and place it on OD directry... edit the ini file correctly an you are done....

#2848

Vaya, vaya, vaya..... :o como es que no habia pasado por ahi antes.... excelente site elpicho muchas gracias.... B)

#2849

My reason for asking about alpha transparency is, of course that you cannot include it in a hexadecimal color code. I still believe that a flat colored rectangle is faster than a graphical bitmap with an alpha channel.

By the way, Mobydock is catching up:

" - you can drop files ( e.g. *.htm to internet explorer, *.jpg to photoshop) to open them with the

application you are dropping it on ( NO SUPPORT FOR COPYING FILES TO FOLDERS SO FAR) !"
