wow no one helped... reapply the bootskin should work ;P had same problem, just pick the default then apple or whatever you have again April *2007!*
how exactly did you apply this? Through FAK? i think there's been some issues with it. Check out the issues thread.

you apply it from within Bootskin.. If you have XP SP2 it sometimes changes the bootscreen back to the original one that's why you have to reapply
