Aqua-Soft Forumshi I'm trying to make a wallpaper from a small image how can I resize it without any blurryness or artifacts? anything would help. :confused:

depends on the wallpaper...you can try resizing the canvas to the size you want, and then clone in the areas that are white
one trick that works on rare occasions is increasing the smaller image in fractions.. like 10% at a time. I've found this to work with photoshop on certain images.
If you make it larger and artifacts become more noticeable, you can try using a bit of a gaussian blur. Of course, this doesn't help with the blurriness, but that's somewhat unavoidable unless you're dealing with vectors. I guess your only options are to selectively enhance the parts of the image where there is a transition from one color or pattern element into another. That would only be useful on simple pictures, i.e., if you're resizing a face, there's really not much you can get out if it if it's small. The detail has to come from somewhere, and Photoshop can't really guess.

No. simple as that - cant be done. The computer can't generate image information from something that isn't there.. it can only guess.
The 10% trick works great...on Photoshop remember to keep the resample drop down under bicubic.. It all depends on quality of original pic....
Show us the original pic and we'll see what can be done with it.
