Aqua-Soft ForumsI was wondering if someone could post a link to iTunes version 5.01? Unfortuanately there is a conflict with Norton Internet Security and iTunes 6.0, everytime I launch iTunes 6 my computer becomes completely unstable and iTunes freezes up as it's loading. I've tried downloading the file from sites like versiontracker but have had no success. Thanks everyone.

Get rid of NIS =D Get AVG - it's free, uses less system resources, and doesn't make my computer crash like NIS did. (NIS 2005). I still have an active subscription to NIS, but just got sick of it making my computer more difficult to use.

Can't you set NIS to ignore certain apps?
yeah, I've tried setting NIS to "permit all" for the iTunes application, along with iTunes Helper.exe and the iPod Service. But unless I actually "disable" NIS then it completely locks-up iTunes on launch and system becomes unstable...
Can you start it up without NIS and then disable the internet-related settings in iTunes.
Is there still a Bonjour service that needs to be stopped in v6?

Norton is crap. And i mean it. Get something else and you won't look back.
