hi there ive recently noticed that styler has conflicts with norton internet security at startup. I was wondering if ave could make a little app which delays selected programs from starting up for user defined milli seconds. I know there are apps out there that do this but i dont trust them. I do however trust aves apps. It would be good if this app shut itself down once it did it's job....also to save time i think it should be controlled via a .ini file so the program doesn't become very big. The app also should not show any indicators at startup (like splashscreens and whatnot). Ave it would be great if you made this app as i know that many others are having this problem.
[req] a small app made by ave for startup apps

lol sorry bout that....i'll take that as no then
zondajag, i'm sorry but you're gonna have to forgive our friend Ave.
this community has a few developers and due to their closeness with the members, it's a [bad] practice that some acquired: to constantly request extra features and request custom tailored programs. the devs have lives. making a piece of software is not easy, it's not simple and it takes time. i fear i kinda spoiled part of the community with my programming practice, in which i was really open to feature requests and they very often got implemented in the software i developed (visible in this community, just Orbit). but yeh...
so bear with us if we turn out to not appreciate nagging
yeh... sorry. that was a "no can do". we all wish it were that simple ![]()
ok well i was going to say that if extended this little app could order the icons in the tray if it were made but i guess its not important now.....im just gonna use a script now instead....helpfully made by nightcrawler who will hopefully, later on post it in this thread
Let's close this.
Bottom line, as much as we'de like him to be, Ave is not our private coding slave thus posting in Ave's Apps sub-forum is a bit rude.
If you want an app post in Application Requets
EDIT: I re-opened the thread cause a nice guy asked me to ![]()
Here's something like dreadnaut's, but not nearly as tidy
.

Refer to the readme before you do anything, and read the whole thing before you ask questions ![]()
Hope this helps!

thanks guys.....i won't ask for anything more
sorry but how do you use dreadnauts one lol....
you run regedit and look for "LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent VersionRun" or the same in "CURRENT_USER".
There in Run you will find the different programs running at startup: choose the one you want and change "program.exe etc etc" into "dds.exe program.exe etc etc". Put dds in your WINDOWS directory and maybe try different values for ![]()
ok thanks a bunch ill try that
