[HELP] How to prevent un-mounted drives to disappear as icons?

Hi,

I have a problem. I want to have a icon of my virtual disk drive (F:) on my desktop. But I do not want the icon to disappear when I unmount a image from my virtual drive. How is this possible?

(I do not have the AutoMounter.aveinst installed…)

Thanx,

Barisko

PS. One more question: where can I find more information on the content and meaning of labels inside .avetheme files?

is there somebody who can help me?

hmm - maybe I'll find some time to add a checkbox to stop unmounting from closing pidlshortcuts.

@avetheme file: its just a bunch of XML-nodes.

I have a question.. :) How do I *make* drives I know are connected and working in Windows to mount and show up with Avedesk?

@AutumnMist: install the "automounter" plugin. It's in your "installable packages" directory. It'll make newly connected drives appear on the desktop.

barisko,

i've just tried this and it works:

- create a regular shortcut to your removable drive and place it somewhere (i used c:stuff and named the shortcut ms)

- open avedesk control panel and add a new pidlshortcut

- make the newly created pidl point to the regular shortcut you created earlier. you have to type the path manually (in my case it was c:stuffms.lnk)

some features (i.e. information in sublabels) won't work, but it's a compromise like any other :)

I already have automounter, it just doesn't seem to mount my drives ~95% of the time.
