Aqua-Soft ForumsI was Talking to a apple Employee here in San Diego and he told me that you can use a Mac mini with a PowerMac G5 by using a Firewire cable to connect to a network and using the Mac Mini as a optional drive, if this is true then when I buy my G5, my mini won't be a waste. And also does it take much knowledge to do this.

youll probably just be booting the mini into target disk mode. doesnt really require much effort at all.. you just hold down T i think when boothing the mini, and it will appear as a drive on the g5
Shockme17 is correct - Target Disk startup mode is a neat trick.
You should also be able to network 2 macs directly using IP over Firewire, though I have never tried this (I only have 1 mac, which makes this a little difficult to do).
i'd use the secondary computer as a download mule (i.e. a 24h bittorrent/emule client/server). using a fully functional computer as a removable drive is like buying an SUV and then using it for grocery shopping.
oh wait, isn't that what most people do? 
Or sell it to me for mega cheap, that'd be cool.
