Itunes crashes after ipod finshes sync

Recently, I got an ipod, and after it syncs all my songs and playlists with itunes, itunes crashes. At that point, the ipod says it's charging, and obviously, all my songs are on my ipod, which means it successfully completed it's job, but I cannot open itunes again until I restart my computer. The process is still there, after I crash it and open it again, and this has happened with the newest itunes and with or without multi plugin.

Also, itunes is set to automatically sync with my ipod when I connect it, thus it should automatically eject the device, right? But sometimes it does not, forcing me to unplug the ipod while the "do not disconnect" notice is still on my ipod.

Thank you for any suggestions or helpful comments you can give me.

My suggestion is to turn off automatic sync and do it manually.

Are there any major differences between the two?

Edit: Alright, I tried manual, but it still crashse it after I eject.

You have been here for long enough to know you should use tags. Next time i won't warn you.

Is it so hard to follow a simple rule?

it doesn't automagically eject the ipod after syncing.

I'm really sorry Unbeliever, it's just that I haven't made a thread here in so long.

After my ipod syncs with itunes, goes from "do not disconnect" to "charging" and at that point, itunes is frozen.

My cousin has this problem with iPod shuffle. Most recent firmware, newest iTunes...app dies as soon as iPod finishes syncing. Must be iTunes bug, because he did a clean install of everything. Hopefully they will release an update soon :slant:

What is funny that this iPod works flawlessly on my Mac. Seems like Apple devs aren't too good in Windows environment :P

That sucks, because when I'm on my computer, I use itunes to listen to songs. I have to get ready for a restart whenever I rip new music.
