[release] iTunes Vista for iTunes 5

I have got enough done to release my iTunes Vista skin at last! Please post any problems, suggestions, and comments here. This skin is based on the new Windows Vista. Update: [Oct 7, 2005] I updated the volume image and I was able to lower the over all file size of the skin, and to give credit where credit is due the Now Playing skin is a modfied version of the one orginally released by djay_, here http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=28501. I also updated the file to now include the matching Now Playing skin that is in the screenshot. The Now Playing plug-in for iTunes can be found here: http://itunesnowplayin.sourceforge.net/

i like it. but the graphic around the play buttons looks weird.. maybe a "sunken" graphic instead of a raised graphic would be better

I agree. A lot of work had to go into this so thank you very much!

There's just a few little things like those buttons, and I find the

bottom text to be on the distorted/blurry side.

In my opinion, the buttons sybmols look a little too flat and bright. Try placing a white-to-grey gradient over the buttons to soften their impact a little. Or even just drop their opacity to around 90-95%.

Great work - it's especially nice to see that we can really push the new skin format!

The top or bottom buttons? or both? I will for sure see what I can do about this. I will post some images in a little bit, of what I come up with to see what you think.

Got any screenshots of this skin? Its not possible to make the buttons light up on iTunes, like they do on vista.

This is good.

Ffpx, if you haven't, you should see Sosumi's latest, Bister, for Styler. It's got the light up max min close buttons, and his blue navigation buttons would go as well with your skin as they do with his. IMHO. Maybe a collaboration of sorts is possible? Those touches, including also sharpening the text appearnace a bit (if possible), would really 'finish' it.

Anyway, great work.

Not getting that. But the Now Playing Plug-in is a differnet color than the main skin. The Plug-in is jet black while the skin is more a midnight blue. What's up with that?
