Is there anyway to make firefox open up all links in tabs?
[help] Firefox Tabs
Im not sure... But there is an option for that in Maxthon ![]()
Thanks for the extension man... now I just need something to make it look pretty... its kinda ugly if ya know what I mean.
Nice... I like...
If you download a 1.5 nightly or beta, it's right in the preferences. You can even make it open all popup windows in tabs. It's quite useful. ![]()
yea, 1.5 was nice but some of my ext. didn't work (i.e. fusion...move the status loading bar thingy into the addy bar like the Mac)
Thanks for the link; I'll have to look into that for my Firefox skin.
mep, the fusion doesn't work for me (i'm using firefox 1.5 beta 1 codename deer park) as well as the tabmix ![]()
Try tab mix plus.
And does fusion not work or not install?
I thought it worked on 1.5..
Also 1.5 beta 1 is firefox not deerpark.
vkeios, can i simply download the beta 2 firefox and install it without uninstalling my beta 1? coz i don't wanna lose my extensions.
You should be able to, there doesn't seem to be a big difference in versions.
Just make a backup of your profile just in case.
EDIT: Tried it and imagezoom, add bookmark here, and web developer were disabled.
But those were the extensions I'd bumped up to 1.4..
By the way, its 1.4.1 now.
i currently have that enabled on my firefox by modding the config file. simply type in the address bar "about:config" (Without quotes), then in the filter's bar type browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs.
Enable this from False to True.
After doing this go to firefox options and another option should come up under the Advanced tab called "Force links that open new windows to open in", then select "new tab".

Wow! dru, that's some mighty info you got there! I never thought Firefox can be configured. Excited to try that one out. ![]()
Between extensions, themes, and about:config, you can tweak anything.
@ kaloyster, I used the Deer Park release before, but have since gone back to 1.0.7 (the latest "stable" release). I would try the tweaking stuff that was mention, but I'll wait 'till there's a final on it. Maybe, when i'm bored, i'll look at the info provided by drudragon. (thanks for the info in advance, dru)
@mep: when i try to download and install the fusion link you provided wayback there at the top, it says "Fusion is not a valid GUID" or something. what's wrong?
It means that it's using the older install system (pre 1.0, IIRC). It used to be optional to give a GUID*, but they're now required.
* The GUID is something like {aaaa-abad-asd0-30v3}
@vkeios, didn't work. still at issue with the guid - bummer.
There's a guide somewhere on the Mozilla/Firefox sites about how to assign things a GUID. I'll have a look at it later and see if I can get it to work.
great, thanks for offering to help.
