Just wanted to share my experience I had today..

when I was gonna get my 12" iBook

Well about the story then, too make it short me and my dad went to an apple store here in Sweden, Gothenburg to buy an iBook through his company (to get rid of taxes) to me this Sunday. They were out of stock and told us that they'll get 'em on Tuesday, Wednesday and so I asked so if I make an order on one now I'll have it on Tuesday, Wednesday then? The salesperson said of course no problem. So today when I called in to the store to ask if they had them in stock and they said no but they had just gotten a delivery but it had already been shipped out to the customers that had pre-ordered them or they were waiting to get picked up, so I was like "WTF". He told me on the phone that he could cancel my booking but it would be a smart thing to wait because someone could cancel their booking and I could get one that way and I was like ok.

So I decided that well I want to confront that guy at the apple store and tell him what an ass he was promising me that I would have my iBook this Tuesday, Wednesday. So I brought my dog with me (not for protection she needed a walk), and walked over there. Started ranting (in a nice way though) and I just heared excuses I thought fine, I got an excuse face to face at least. And I asked what options I had. Well he said I probably had to wait 2 weeks for the next order to arrive or maybe that he could work something out tomorrow so he wanted my e-mail addy and I gave him that. So just to check another thing out I asked him about the people that might cancel their orders and he like thought about it for a second and then said dang.. there might be one person that has cancelled their order and just like that I got my hopes up. He went into the storage room and had a look and then he came out with a big box

So that's my sunshine story. Always keep nagging and you'll eventually get what you want

I guess people working at apple in sweden are asses. I went to buy a new 20gig ipod at the apple center in Lund but as expected they were out of stock. I went to the next town which is Malmo and the guy behind the counter was being real lazy and didnt answer my questions. He just refered to some papers & pricelists lying around. He was generally rude and undfriendly so I went and bought it at another electronics store, not apple center. This is not good. If anybody working for apple is reading this the message is: Shape up!!!!!!

Well to clarify things when I mentioned apple store I didn't mean the official apple store. I meant a store "authorized" by apple to sell apple hardware...

@Timan: well in a way yah I guess I could say AS inspired me.. AS wasn't my first experience with Apple though.. my big brother had a Mac LC back in the middle of the 90's that I used to play games on But I've always owned PC's and now that school begun and since I already have a stationary PC at home I thought what the heck I'll give the iBook a try for some variation...
