I can't get iTunes to not show on taskbar. When I click on the minimize button it just disappears from top of the desktop but there is still the iTunes caption on the taskbar...
Check the advanced tab in iTunes preferences. Make sure the last two options are checked.
Is there a way to remove the "feature" that turns the maxi/windowed button into the mini skin toggle? Absolutely hate it.. I never use the mini skin and I do use the fullscreen/window toggle alot. Also is there a way to arrange it propperly? Mini/maxi/quit? instead of maxi/mini/quit? I dont see the point in swifting around the buttons.. just confuses people and makes em press the wrong one.
I don't know of any way to switch around the order of the buttons, but there are a couple solutions to your maximize/restore request.
1) If you double click on a playlist (or most of the other options on the left of the screen), a new window opens up that only contains the selected playlist. The green button on that window acts like the maximize/restore button--not the miniplayer toggle.
2) Double click the titlebar. It's probably easier that searching for the right button anyway. And it works in any windows program, not just iTunes.
