I think you may get quite a biased answer from people at Aqua-Soft, a skinning community.
Lol we'll see
Im a winamp type guy. You should build a minimalistic app like that.
I mean, theres plenty of iTunes clones being developed (no offense).

Why take another project? No longer interested in alCal ?... or did you reach a dead end with alCal ?
I think this a great idea alilm.
I would personally like to see a good music/media player use whatever VS you were using at the time.

I need something else apart from alCal to work on, id go insane if I didnt.
Heavily artistic GUI, with functionality (like iTunes)! What do you expect, I have to have it match my dominate OSX wanna be DT's. :pchawk:

This is how its looking so far. The skin is by smoke (and its the default skin), many thanks to smoke :own:
Looks kool
i would go with something not very heavy artistic-wise. i like what you have there. something along the lines a soma skin for qcd but what you have going on. i would like to see some transparency or alpha blending....
Any1 remember the old sonique player?
What ever happened to the Quicktime Player? I'm still waiting for a fully working one with the OSX buttons.
Nice look on the one you got though. ![]()
As i said somewhere before, just to make it clear, this progrsm isnt being made to stricly clone or emulate an osx app, merely just an mp3 player that im making for my own use and for anyone else that wants it ![]()

I just downloaded sonique again first time in 3 years. Man its not actually that bad. You get a 32 channel equaliser, and upto 800% amp. That means you can make it 8x louder than you can using wmp9, so you can actually blow speakers.
I just spent about an hour compring it to wmp9, dare I say it's better... but you have to spend 30mins on te equaliser, nice midbass low midrange and high but clean treble.
Sonique's website claims to having the best sounding mp3 decoder. So I had to try it. I think they're right. Plus cpu is at 11% as opposed to wmp's 30%.
This has become my default player.
hmm, also gotta be a first someone quoting himself.
That iTune like player looks nice because it is a compact yet almost full function. If I may make a suggestion, how about if the playlist hides and extends like a shelf underneath the body
similar to the hidden buttons of iDVD player by Nexus.
iLove iTunes.
Its a perfect blend of iCandy (HAHA I'm on a roll with corny jokes HAHA) and perfect functionality. Its like a sexy female wall street stock broker, a perfect blend of beauty and brains.

I would suggest Heavy GUI. Since much of an aqua-softian thinks about the UI and appearance. Also looks at the features. Happy Coding!!!
Q: Does it have Visualization? :naughty:
Whatever happened to this player? I'd love to see it if it's done. ![]()
