Hello, just wondering if someone here can make a tutorial or tell me where I can find one, frankly I thin they virutally don't exist, searched far and wide in the internet for "VLC skin help", or VLC "skinning tutorial" and gone to every site available.
So if anyone can guide me on making a VLC skin, your help will be greatly appreciated.
I know how the forums operate, searching was done extensevely, foun no anwer to what I was looking for.

Oh come on, he's not that rude! I assure you that knows what is he doing when telling people to search. It's really useful. If you have any problems with it, please PM and I will teach you how to use it.
there are several unreleased skins out there that still require permission from their original authors (like milk and brushed etc.....but they need permission to be released....

That is outdated, i'ts ancient there are no explanations on how to make a VLT skin, plus VLC is now 8.0.2 it does not let you have XML skins.
For the rest, I searched and looked everywhere here and in google,asking for help is my last resort , found nothing that I wanted.

Then start *****ing more at the VLC team and less at us. Start learning boolean searches.

you can't really search for vlc skins, the board won't let you search for words under four letters in lenght, and nobody bothers to type "video lan player". even if they did, you'd get "video player" in results because "lan" is an unsearchable term.
search term lenght limit is stupid. i don't know why all message boards have it on by default.

@Austin123--The most-hated mod at Aqua-Soft just let you off with a warning (not even a ban!), and it's 3:30 AM his local time.

You asked for info, I gave you some. If it was useless to you - Tough noogie. I'm not surprised the VLC team didn't respond to you - I think i'll stick to ummm you know, My wife than myself - Much more pleasurable.
In the interest of skinning I'd like to point out to Austin 123 that the link I provided was indeed a tutorial for the Skins2 Module as opposed to the near obsolete Skins Module. The tutorial may not be beefy, But it is an intoroduction to Skinning none the less and appears to very much use an XML file contrary to your initial outburst. My advice would be to study the XML tags provided in the tutorial and then perhaps reverse engineer an existing theme to see how those tags are put to use.

the .vlt files can be compiled using 7zip and also they are really gzip archives renamed.....atleast i think they are.....
edit: a set of vlc skins will be released very soon hopefully! All they need is a confirmation of permission)
