I hate to be a killjoy, but please do not port this widget without the author's express permission. It's only fair.
It may sound a bit wiredrawn but who asked the Dashboard Widget authors wheter their widgets can be ported? Is that fair?

So cause this is home made, then it cant be ported?

I suppose with some more time I'll be able to do the exact same thing. I just need to have a bunch of images to show me how it looks exactly when running and what triggers it from changing the size. I don't have Konfabulator installed.

I would really appreciate you taking time to emulate this, it would complete my desktop. I just hope it wont suck cpu power? Would it have to use sysstats?

AveScripter is a new desklet for AveDesk. It doesn't use sysstats. Its a vbscript/jscripter with XML capability. It is almost completed and will be released shortly after Ave1.3 is released. It will also include a GUI to allow less programming savvy people to create their own desklet.
If you look at the screen shot you'll notice that there is a Calculator, Weather, Clock and more desklets that have been created using avescripter.
I'll be posting some screen shots in the near future of the entire scripter.
I just installed Kapsules on my system to see how it reacted. I can say that it will be able to do the same thing. Also I noticed that it doesn't seem to refresh unless I actually request a refresh. Normal?

Does this mean that you're parsing my widget API? I may have serious issue with that, if that is the case.
I'm not parsing any of your apis.. I just wanted to see how the widget looked not how Kapsules looked. I just wanted to give the Recall an answer if it would be possible to do that desklet.
Please don't take it the wrong way. I'm not intereseted in parsing anyones APIs.
I am a programmer after all, programmeurs ego = always think we can do it better than someone else.
