Video Editing Software

Hey Guys & Gals,

Whats some good video editing software for quickly manipulating some video footage: remove the audio and replace it with other audio. Timeline based would be nice with an inbuilt audio editor but nothing too complex.

Don't need anything too professional like Adobe After Effects or similar, just a tool that can do the above with out too much hassle.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Pinnacle studio. Windows movie maker might even work :P

Adobe premiere elements is a more user friendly version of Adobe's professional Premiere

Movie Maker - how could of I forgotten! All I need now is an open source video file converter! Thanks!

I use VirtualDub for all my editing needs - there's a ton of utils with it and best of all it's free :) afaik, it can mix your audio streams but might be limited to *.avi file format (depending on your encoders, of course) - not entirely sure, I only encode to avi :)

I tired virtual dub, it sadly doesn't open QT MOV files to convert to AVI.

ok for anyone that needs to convert mov to avi use RadTools. Google it.

if you want an editor that has MOV support, try the avid free editor... that way you're not losing a generation of quality in the conversion to AVI
