The lines are a bit jagged and it is a bit to abstract for my liking, but nice first try! 
Yeah, once you fix the jagged lines, it will look pretty good.

You are right. Actually, "Fusain" means Charcoal (I'm french)
Very good wall! Color is a bit too heavy plus I'd love to see it more colorful... remember Matisse, Chagall, Kandinsky or Cezanne!
