Thought it would be nice to see what people are using on their boxes, and perhaps we could even get some tips about some cool programs. To start it off, here's what I use (mostly used in bold):

Here's the main programs I use, there are more but I felt these are the most usefull to me:

OS: XP Pro SP1

Music: sometimes winamp, sometimes QCD, sometimes mraqua's itunes.

Cd burning: Nero

Terminal: Cygwin RXVT running Bash

e-mail: I've been using pine a lot lately

Web Browser: IE or Savanna, and firebird once in a while

chat: Miranda IM, The Manor

Journal(blog): LJ.net, or regular LJ client

Image viewer: Acdsee Classic (ghostscript installed for pdf).

Graphics program: The GIMP, I also have photoshop and PSP available if needed. Axialis Iconworkshop for creating icons.

Skin Editor: Skinstudio and programs from my text editing list

Video Player: VideoLan Client, PowerDVD, and sometimes objectmedia\sdplayer, been trying out mplayer too. And WinTV32 program.

Text Editor: gvim, pico, notepad, or abiword depending on file.

FTP: I had been using WS_ftp but I also have been trying flashfxp

Windows skinning: Windowblinds and objectbar

Shadows: Y'z Shadow

Toolbars: Y'z Toolbar

Dock: Y'z Dock

Reshacker: Reshacker of course. =Þ I also have exescope if needed.

I use most of that daily, if not weekly. For example, its been about a week since Ive used Maya or Swift 3D & Flash MX, but I used all the icon software shown, Photoshop, Illustrator all the network stuff and most of the compression apps within the past 24 hours.

Although Messenger doesn't get used like it should...

oh iv used blender.. if i want to do my 3d stuff i got to windows and use 3dmax.. i jsut dont like the interface in blender.. but it seems a very capable program
