The video generally covers information released during PDC but has some interesting comments by Kam Vedbrat, lead program manager on the Aero team including saying that this is more or less what the Aero UI will look like although they have a few other things to add. There also seems to be no effort on Microsoft's part to keep up consistency within the OS by including a provision for developers to replace standard Windows controls (such as the Back button) with anything they like. People like us have spent a lot of time trying to organize Windows and bring some form of consistency to the OS and they are giving developers their blessings to make a disorganized nightmare out of Vista (they should at least have the ability to override custom application skins with standard controls).
Anyway the video is interesting although nothing significantly new if you've been following PDC. Oh btw it's huge -> 460MB.
If you don't feel like downloading it, read the user comments on that page, especially the posts by one Nitz Walsh. Very well thought out and informed.
Also anyone see how mature the discussions on that page are? Compare that to Aqua-Soft.
