Aqua-Soft ForumsOkay here's the situation and my host history:
1) Back when my domain (portraitofakite.com) was registered 2 years ago, my host was www.simplehost.com. This was before I had the new OSX site, and the site didn't require a lot of bandwidth.
2) During the old site, I switched hosts again, to www.ehostpros.com because they offered more bandwidth which I needed as the Flyakite project was gaining popularity. It worked out well, until the current FlyakiteOSX was about to be revealed. I knew I would need another host, with a LOT of bandwidth so I went searching.
3) I settled upon www.imhosted.com, as they offered my 150gb of bandwidth, and all of the features I needed. Unfortunately, that host lately has had severe problems. The server is extremely slow, and services are often failing, so I went to find a new host yet again.
4) So, two days ago I signed up for an account at www.emaxhosting.com. It was great, I had cPanel configured, and the site was very fast. Unfortunately, I received an e-mail from them this morning saying:
"We regret to inform you that your account has used over 37% of the total amount of memory provided by the server you are on. This resource intense site can no longer be active therefore we have suspended the site and will issue a refund."
What I'm Looking For
Once again, I am searching for a web host. I'm looking for recommendations from people. I need something with AT LEAST 150gb bandwidth and that isn't extremely expensive. Maybe $20 a month or less. Storage space isn't a problem. I don't know why any host would give you 5gb or unlimited storage, but only 40gb bandwidth a month. If you're the type of person that needs 5gb of webspace, you probably need a hell of a lot more bandwidth.
Anyway though, I'd love to hear everyone's recommendations. If worse comes to worse, I'll have to spend a little more on VPS hosting, but I can't afford dedicated hosting at the moment, as that generally runs about $100 a month or more.
