Some problems with FlyaKiteOSX 2.0

I aplogize if I have posted this in the wrong board, I was unable to find one tailored to support requests.

Anyway...

I'm having a couple problems with FlyaKiteOSX, I've tried to resolve them by searching around, but have not been enitrely successful.

1. Windows disappear off the left side of the screen when restored. I kinda fixed this by disabling YzShadow...I do not have ObjectDock installed.

2. MSN Messenger window will not show up, and nothing I have tried will make it show. The program launches, and it's in the tray, but it doesn't show up in the Applications area of the Task Manager (however, it does show up in the Processes area).

EDIT: I just discovered that if I go into C:WINDOWSflyakiteosxBackupmsnmsngr.exe and launch that MSN Messenger, it works just fine. -- Am I doing something wrong with the other one? I'm using version 7.5.

If I can fix these two issues, I think I'll be fine; unless something else comes up.

I appreciate any help, and once again, I apologize if this is in the wrong board.

I don't know about the first problem but if you do a search you should be able to find the answer to the MSN problem and I'm fairly confident a mod will tell you to do just that as soon as they see your post.

Anyway, if you let Flyakite install the msn skins then that's your problem. They are for an older version of MSN messenger than 7.5.

Is there anyway to uninstall the MSN Skins, without uninstalling flyakite and doing it all over again?

edit: you can repair msn messenger through add-remove programs...I think you click the change button? I don't have it installrd right now or I would check for you.

Thanks for the help, that fixed my MSN Messenger problem.

I can live without Y'z Shadow, but if someone has a fix for that; by all means share! (It is a cool feature after all)

Ok, call me a pinhead.

I installed WindowBlinds, and then promptly removed it as I quickly established that I didn't like it.

But, in the 10 minute period that it was installed, I managed to change my Task bar to something different, instead of the really cool one that comes with FlyaKiteOSX...So, how can I get that style back, I really don't want to reinstall FlyaKite.

I've also managed to change some of the icons...So I'd like those back too.

@flying lemur: just run the flyakiteosx updater, and it'll go through and repatch any files you managed to change

I have the same problem with YzShadow (windows always moving off the left side of the screen), so I switched to using WindowFX. I'd rather use Yamaguchi's software on principle, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

I don't have the problem with y'z shadow so I can't help with that but isn't there a thread somewhere here about that? Something about ObjectBar and y'z shadow conflicting. I noticed you said you didn't have ObjectDock installed but do you have ObjectBar? I don't know maybe check the y'z apps section here.
