Burn WMV Files to watchable dvd....how?
reconvert them to avi, then use a program such as pinnacle studio, Ulead DVD MovieFactory etc
The easiest method that i've found for dealing with difficult file formats such as Windows Media, RealMedia and Quicktime is to take your file and convert it to an .Avi using Rad Video Tools. They are free for personal use, and are one of the most successfull i've ever used for converting those types of files. You can get them here.
Although a lot of people prefer other tools for making DVD, my personal preference is to use NeroVision Express for taking a file that you have in .MPEG or .AVI and converting it to a watchable DVD format. There are faster tools, and some that are better in quality...but I've yet to make a single coaster with NeroVision. I've made several coasters with some of the more popular programs such as DVDSanta or TMPGenc.
The only thing to be careful about with NeroVision is making sure that the settings are correct before you have it convert and burn. Sometimes it will incorrectly detect the aspect ratio of the input file when it's set to "automatic". It doesn't happen often, but occasionally enough to make it work a few seconds to just set the video settings to 4:3 or 16:9, whichever your source video is.
you can convert it with a freeware app called STOIK video converter
or why not try a different capture app that can go right to avi (or mpeg2 preferably since that's the dvd format) the less amount of conversions you have to do, the better, as quality will go down after each. if i'm not mistaken, virtualdub can capture straight to avi.
