[link] Microsoft Max

Did you guys see this yet? A new application from Microsoft that is suppose to help share pictures.

http://www.microsoft.com/max/

The interface looks kind of neat, what do you think?

Microsoft® Codename Max is not like any other product. That's because it's not a product—it's your opportunity to try an exciting new user experience from Microsoft. Today Max lets you make lists of your photos and turn them into beautiful slide shows to share with your family and friends. Tomorrow...who knows?

It looks really good, except I'm not too sure about it wanting to uninstall the .net framework so it can install the WinFX or whatever.....

"I play 3D games on my computer. Can I still run Max?

Take it easy, you don't have to think twice. Your machine can probably run Max brilliantly."

Lol, who wrote this site?

Edit:

What if I don't care about 3D games, or my computer doesn't do that stuff?

Max knows how to adjust its settings to accommodate computers without additional 3D capabilities. You will still get to see Max with all of its features, but slightly tweaked so that it runs smoother and faster.

God.....

Don't make up tags.

This is a [link] not [New software] tag.

Read the tags info (link is in my sig) and consider this your official warning.

Somebody try this out and report back. Picasa has been the wonder image library program of my dreams, so MS needs to do something pretty amazing to top it. (In my opinion.)

#315844

its kinda lame and doesnt realy do anything good as far as I can tell :P very buggy, but nice interface

i like how windows is slowly changing into a mac-type-interface-coolness-type

#315887

definitely not a replacement for Picasa...runs really slow on my computer (and I have a nice one) so I can't really recommend this at all.
