iTunes 5 problem

I recently downloaded the latest version of iTunes, ver.5 , and i'm having some sound interruption problems. Every time my PC open,minimises or do anything with any window (even back and up functions) the sound lags. Is it somethink i need to fix in iTunes options or i got messed codecs? thanks in advance

I think that is just a general windows bug. I experienced the same thing when I used to use my PC, and that was ages ago. I don't think there is a way to fix it.

What do you mean by "ages ago" u use Mac now? I didn't have this problem with previous versions of iTunes.

hmm.. I think DirectSound creates problem on older soundcards or even processors.

Thanks therentcollector! I didn't think there was a solution. I remember this coming up in the past and everyone said that there was nothing that could be done.
