Great amp...No..fantastic amp!
Seriously this little 30W practice amplifier is a tone demon. I was out in the market looking for a practice amp and getting sick of the crappy sounds I was getting out of Marshall and Peavey cubes. Then I stumbled upon this Roland amp and it's by far the best practice amp I've ever bought, especially the COSM amp modelling features which recreate the sounds of a Peavey 5150 and a Mesa Boogie Rectifier among others (of course not as well as the real things but still pretty damn good!). It comes with 6 built-in footswitchable effects; delay, reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser (useless for me) and tremolo. Of these the delay, reverb and chorus are extremely nice. Oh and did I mention that the clean channel on this is the best I have ever heard? It's modelled after the legendary Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp and damn did they do a good job modelling it for this amp. Super-slick clean channel.
Thing cost me about Rs. 11,500 (bought in India so conversion to USD is about $250). I play an Ibanez RG370DX (stock pickups replaced with Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB combo) plugged straight into it (no effects) and the tone of this thing is just brilliant. It can do anything from jazz to metal in my opinion. If you need a guitar amp that sounds great and can't afford a tube amp, get this. It's the closest you'll get.
