iPod Black

I know it isn't exactly Jairo B. quality, but this is my very first icon ever. So I now it isn't great. I made it because I've not seen any black iPod icons (besides the U2 one, of course), and I know that some poeple have dark themes to their desktops. Also, before the flaming commences, please take note that I got the idea and general look from Hobbes' iPod nano icon. I didn't actully use anything from it, but just to let you know.

Just right click and save it to wherever you keep you're icons. This might not work in IE, I've heard that it can have PNG troubles. But I don't care, I don't respect IE and if you want the icon then get Firefox :P

Just a few suggestions:

iPods have curved edges, unlike the nano so it needs some depth

the shadow is cut off at the bottom.

Other than that, cool first icon. I know mine sucked :P

you know you can get all-black iPods from ColorwarePC as well as tons of other color combinations for iPods, Minis, Shuffles, Notebooks and more.

your lighting is coming from the upper left (the gloss) yet you have a [rather ugly default photoshop] bevel on the left. that's contradictory. there IS something that is the reflection which would make the bottom edge lighter since it reflects a lighter surface, but not the left. the shadow is rather odd since the the light is coming from above yet the shadow is infront--a subtlety. as well as another subtle detail that it should be MENU instead of Menu and the font should be Myriad Pro. on the normal ipod the center button as well as the sides are curved so there should be lighting and shadow. and the lcd looks weird. the lcd screen is actually sunken IN the iPod and there is just a glass layer over it. welcome to the graphics world!
