Desktop drive automount/shortcut...I'm still waiting.

Sorry...I know I posted a similar thread ages ago, but it got banned after I triple posted :slant: ...and still my question goes unanswered...Unbe, im sure will forgive my sin

I need a freeware program that mounts drives (eg- CD, USB flash, external Hard Drive) on the desktop when they are connected or when a cd is inserted.

AVEDESK....sorry but this program just doesn't cut it yet, it has too many bugs and while it is customisable it doesnt work when I connect my flash drive...and I've tried everything.

DESKMOUNT...This is exactly what I want, but it only works for CDs and I'm too poor to go spending money to get the full version which works with all drives.

I know this question has been asked before, but none of the programs suggested has worked properly with all drives.

SO is there any other freeware programs that create shortcuts on the desktop when drives and cds are connected/inserted?

hmmm.....well I do like Avedesk, it just doesnt work for what I want it to do....but if someone knows the solution to get avedesk automount working....let us in on the secret.

hmm....is there any docklets (eg- for yz dock) that appear when drive is connected/inserted...now that would be cool.

anybody else?...thanx xalcore anyway.

There's this for Objectdock (requires systats). You'll probably find others on this site for different docks.
