1st design is cooler and better than ipod mini color display also rox...

but if u see now has half part of the storage capacities of the ipod mini for the same price, another thing is the batterie now 4 hours less of duration...

Well... looks like iPod color lost it's weight, got slim and took some height pills... welcome iPod nano... anyways, it's somehow good using that flash mem for skip free operation, and given it's size (dimentions) I think it doesn't look too bad (for kinda distorted iPod color looks).

But the best one is.. the Black nano... dudes, you gotta admit. That one just steals the show !!

one thing i dont know about is the solid state memory.. .i was highly let down when i got my shuffle and realized (maybe cause i was ignorant) that it was bottlenecked in transfer speed by the flash memory... i hate knowing that usb 2.0 is 40x and im limited to approximately half that (dont know the actual number anymore)...

i presume this is the same case as the nano... also it will be a better buy to purchase a 20 gb ipod and a shuffle (rumor that 512 shuffles will be 69$ by the end of september when they get their updates www.thinksecret.com). that way you get your library, plus the mobility of the shuffle. the nano is cool, dont get me wrong and i cant wait to see it in action, however 300bucks for a decent size is just too high.

personally i think the best innovation apple has done for the ipod lately is creating a 30$ flash card reader and color screen for the ipod allowing quick transfer between mediums. the 60gb ipod has become the best buy for me, being that i can put ALL my music and store pictures while on travel.

when will it be possible to transfer directly from one player to another?!!!! have your library active on a huge ipod, and transfer directly to the shuffle for mobility and accessibility? apple: stop thinking sales and start thinking scalability and usability.

Battery life on this will blow. Fact, there is no battery that small that will hold a charge long enough to drive a decent set of headphones and the color display. Stock iPod headphones suck. The mini could use a color display, but at least I can replace the battery in it when it dies.

really? i thought the battery life on the shuffle was alright. does seem to differ between makes, though.

i guess for those familiar with the shuffle having playlists would be the biggest step up.
