[help] VS font problem

hi. i am using style xp and trying to use a visual style called nano. the problem is that the font will not change at all, not even when i go to display properties and try to change it there. it does not use the font that it is supposed to use, but uses the regular windows xp type font. i was doing something, just messing around and i got the font to change, to the way it is supposed to look, but when i restarted the computer, it changed back to the windows xp font. i don't remember what i did, but this happens with every visual style i have tried. everything works except the font still looks like winxp. can anyone help me get the fonts to look the way they are supposed to in the skin and keep them that way? i am sorry, i just started using stylexp a couple of days ago, used windowblinds before this. please help, i dont know how to do this.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but did you change any of the font's the registry settings?

I've read that you can change WindowsXP default font using this registry key.

If somehow you changed it, perhaps this is causing the problem? I never used StyleXP

so I'm not quite sure how to help :slant:

never changed the default font.

here's what it looks like and what it should look like. i'm not trying to change the fonts that come with the visual style, just trying to get it to use the fonts included in that VS. am i supposed to apply some theme before using the VS? sorry.

BTW, is there some other program, like stylexp, that can be used to apply themes and visual styles?

Hi there, I understand what you mean.

Let's review what you did, you downloaded the VS, unzip the contents,

installed the fonts, and applied it using StyleXP?

Strange, I'm sorry but perhaps someone else knows? :slant:

As for me, I applied my theme using the hacked uxtheme.dll

You can find the instructions here

Or if you're using Styler (Shareware, USD$17), you can change the fonts no matter what VS you use (Thanks Millennium :P)

Hope that helps at least a bit :slant:
