Had lovely dream...future of Apple...

I had a lovely vision the other day...so I thought I would share with you...

IN NO WAY DOES THE FOLLOWING REPRESENT APPLE'S IDEAS FOR THE FUTURE, IT IS SIMPLY MY DREAM OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN...AND I AM A CRAZY MAD MAN WITH THE RIGHT TO DREAM...EVEN IF WHAT I SPEAK OF MAY BE IMPOSSIBLE...

iPod 5G

Will feature more extensive portable games, and will rival the PSP 2 (when it comes out), by the time it is released, the iPod's hard disk will be replaced by flash disks which are able to hold in the vicinity of over 60Gb, allowing the Ipod to be slightly reduced in size and allow for more features. The trademark clickwheel will also become a dial style telephone pad, meaning you spin the wheel to get the correct number, yes the Ipod is now also a mobile phone. Built into the back will be a camera lense (6+ megapixel). The iPod will become the 'gadget' of them all, and all this will be very smartly combined into a simple design, easy to use, and stylish.

IMac G6

WIll feature the OS XI, the new revolutionary operating system...even better than before...need I say more...the most stylish, fast, user friendly, customisable, easy to use OS ever...let your imaginations go wild...

The G6 will use three intel processors each running at 10Ghz and the iMac will feature the ability to upgrade hardware items more easily and more extensively... The G6 will be in similar style to the current g5 but will feature ports conventiantly placed on the front, and a built in rotatable stand, so that any other ports can be easily accessed.

The G6 will have a built in iPod dock on the front! and feature wireless connection to all devices standard.

The g6 will have built in speakers (better than before), a good microphone and a good Webcam...all built into stylish and simplisitic design.

iPlay console.

With the shift to intel, Apple will enter into the console market. The iMac will become for work and the iPlay console for play. The iPlay console will seemlessly sync with the iMac allowing photos, music, videos etc, to be shown to friends and family with easy in front of the TV in a media center style fashion...but better.

The iPlay will be the most stylish console ever! with all wireless, and graphics to die for...finally something we've never seen an apple do yet (good games).

iPlay will also feature sorround sound and DVD/blue ray disc play ability.

iPlay will have online play.

APPLE will become the center of all digital work and play, its seemless integration between iMac, iPlay console and iPod will ensure its successs.

iPod will be the portable gadget...A genuine camera, mobile phone, Portable games console and good old iPod...except even better.

The iPlay will become the center of digital entertainment and show & tell, the ultimate gaming console...forget the PC

iMac...the ultimate home/office computer... not dispute, apple will rock and take over the world completely.

So come on let your imaginations go wild...

...erm what was your question about G and G5 G4 G3?....was that a typo? did you mean "Does the G in G5, G4, G3 = Generation" because yes, G= Generation.

So yes I'm dreaming about what is to come in the next generation of apple...

Nice thought with the graphics cards...but "Think DIfferent"...I like to think by the time the G6 comes out we'll have graphics cards over 512mb!....but yeah I'm a dreamer...

yes a console would be interesting...especially with Intel moving in now...apple making pancakes with cinnamon, yes now that would be interesting...yes built in iSight to all macs would be mad!

I dont mean to sound stuck up, but I rather like my idea of having the iPod dock built in...I just love the idea of simplifying a computer to something with minimal clutter and cables...my idea of funky

I liked your idea, except iPod's new incarnation (5G) as you said.... I think apple has this basic strategy to keep things simple to look and use, which is one huge reason of apple user's to be such a die-hard fans of their products. Like it's said "One bite of apple, and all others are sour oranges". Anyways, coming back to iPod... the reason of iPod's great success was it's sticking to what it's suppose to do... playing songs. The real story of iPod's photo (now known as Color iPod) is actually something like this (something I overheard), that apple wanted to incorporate ability to display album covers in mp3s and give an overall uplift to iPod's software interface (since outer shell of iPod kept changing over the time but the software interface remains quite the same). then the developers decided to exploit more from the image displaying module and created iPod photo.

Now, what I would love to see in iPod?... I would like it have more n more space (it never stops), ability to play multichannel (ac3) files.. oh I would really like spend 4 large on those Zalman 5.1 headphones. I love that clickwheel, but I wouldn't mind at all a touchscreen experience elimiting hardware clickwheel.. but without having to use the stylus. I would also think that soon iTunes will recognise embeded lyrics in mp3s and so will iPod.. that would be so nice.

OMG, so I took a nap about 10 minutes ago, and woke up now... and the dream... was about... Apple inflated sex dolls! They all were just lined up in the windows at the Apple store. And and and and, the Apple store has changed from white to black, and it was creeeeeeeeepy.

I do agree to an extent, apple shouldn't overload the ipod with features nobody would use...but I think if apple could some how cram a good camera and a good mobile phone in without a heap of extra buttons, confusion and bulk then... it would rock.

I mean we all love iPod's simplicity, but when you go out for a day with mates and you take your iPod, mobile phone and digital camera, its all getting a little to much.

But yeah, I dont want to see the iPod loose its simple and easy character, but it would be good if somehow these things would be included.

I liked the iPod part... would be a nice uprade from my old dog 3g... but at least it still works well!

iTelepods heh? I like the sound of that...sort of like teleport...now that would be another cool feature for the next generation...Nice ot see someone shares my views on telephone iPod.
