Building Shell32.dll's

I have been a fan of Foood's icons and the snow icons for a while. I would like to make shells of them. I would like to know if there is a icon program that will batch convert multiple .png's to a multiple sized .ico ie: File1 to 16x16, 32x32 64x6, File2 to 16x16, 32x32 64x64 and so on. Most of the Fooods icons are good to use but there some made by others that are way too big. I would just like to start with fresh .png's. I have some ive made myself also. Im supprised nobody has made a Shell32.dll creator. just a thought. Anyway help is welcomed. :D And ALL permissions will be obtained before release. (That is if I get them) ETA: 1st week of june. My kid slows me down. :)

I believe Axialias (sp?) Icon Workshop can batch do stuff.

If anyone knows how to do this in Axialias I would like the help on how to do it.

load the icon into iconworkshop right click on the highest quality image it and select 'new icon project from this image' check the boxes you want for the quality and sizes and then push ok.

There is a small tutorial on their website.

Be aware though that the quality might not be what you expect. I tried to resize the SnowE icons from 128x128 png to 16x16 (and other formats as well), and found they were not nice to look at. pixelated and, even worse, not distinguishable at that size. Maybe (probably) I did something wrong.

On the other hand I am afraid only the more expensive edition of iconWorkshop will allow for batch-converting.

Please keep in mind, Honz has made an Iconpackager theme out of the SnowE icons. It contains the icons in .ico format, available at Wincustomize. Just change the name of the file from ???.ip to ???.zip and unzip it. There they are.

For hacking the shell32.dll you might as well try Restorator ( http://www.bome.com/Restorator/ ) which will allow you to save the changes made. I.E. it creates a file that will apply the changes you made to any shell32.dll around. Restorator is shareware too, though.

Have fun and good luck!
